Kristin Harila and nine youth face tough challenges in the Arctic winter landscape.

World record holder, climber, and adventurer Kristin Harila leads nine youth from around the world on a ski journey through the spectacular Arctic polar night. Beyond the purely physical challenges of the harsh winter environment, the group grapples with the emotional burden of climate change, confronting both the terrain ahead and their personal fears for the future. Through this Arctic journey, the film conveys an important message about how resignation can be transformed into action when facing one of the greatest global challenges of our time.

The film is followed by a panel discussion at the library at 5:00 PM, featuring participants from the expedition, focusing on climate, hope, and youth engagement.

Below is the link to where you can get the tickets for the film. The event at the Winter Cinema is free to attend, but you need to book a ticket. The film starts at 16.30 on Friday 23.1 and straight after that, starting at 17, there will be a panel discussion at the library with expedition participants and Rolf Rødven, Executive Secretary in AMAP, Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme.
