In this Side Event, we assemble scientist/researchers and business for a talk about how we can work for a sustainable future in the Arctic.

• The Arctic is changing- to what?

• Climate changes affect our lives today – what are the prospects for the future?

• Business sees new opportunities

• Is the research aligned with the potential development in the Arctic?

• Is there a mismatch between research and societal needs?

• What can we learn from earlier experience?

These are some of the issues we wish to discuss in this session.
